I'm your gift... by DiRi I'm your gift... by DiRi
...ok this one is a quickie ;-) It was sipposed to be a quick sketch to see, what it would look like. Well after sketching, I led myself into too much details, so it is not a real sketch anymore... so, no real sketch, no real drawing... something inbetween. I was playing around with a giftwrap loop. Took me four hours to do this.

Hope you all like it.

Original size: 55x75cm (22x30")
Technique: pencils F, B, 2B
Time: 4 hours

Is the reference photo Laura Petty? Because there's a photo of her that looks just like this, except for the bow and the fantastic legs. Great drawing for only 4 hours of work.

You've amazed me again with your graphite pencil skilliness =D

I still need more practice with the pencils...

By the way, I met Paul John Ballard again in London last weekend... He said he might exhibit at a convention in Germany...

I can't remember which one he said though...

Great work by the way =D

And it's not even my birthday, Dirk!

(I love this - sketch or drawing, it's very well done. Beautiful skill, great differentiation between the various textures (skin, hair, etc.), and I love the fact that it's not just some photograph that someone has filtered in Photoshop - when you draw, you really draw, and I'm starting to really appreciate that the more I look at supposed "pencil drawings" here on DA.)

Here's to Dirk!

I'm glad that you really like what I do... and I just love what I do (even though sometimes my fingers are numb after a drawing ;-) )

I know, I hate 'em, too... but they are necessary... I just caught someone on ebay trying to sell prints from one of my drawings here on dA which don't have a watermark!
